Mobility Aids

The Little Theatre is committed to being an accessible venue. However, due to the size of our theatre, we do need to know in advance of any requirements you have, and are limited in the number of audience members we can accomodate with mobility concerns.

If you have any questions or concerns not answered below, please eMail boxoffice@nairnlittletheatre.org.uk or call 01667 294 394 in advance of your visit.

Wheelchair Users

We can ordinarily accomodate a maximum of two wheelchair users per performance, but this must be notified at least seven days before the performance as we must remove seats from the auditorium.

Seats A8, A9, B8, and B9 will be removed for a single wheelchair.

This wheelchair space can be booked online as long as these seats have not already been booked by other patrons. If they have, please contact us and we will endeavour to accomodate you by moving other bookings.

Wheelchair access to Row A is via an escorted route as it passes through a backstage area. Due to the nature of this route it may not be possible to leave the auditorium during the performance except during the interval.

Powered Mobility Scooters

Small powered mobility scooters may be accommodated in the same manner as wheelchairs, if you wish to remain in the mobility scooter during the performance. Alternatively it may be possible to use a scooter to access your seat step-free in Row A or Row H (by use of the lift) only.

Please note, however, that we are generally unable to provide storage for any mobility scooter that is greater than 1200 x 900mm and in any event can only accomodate ONE such device per performance.

Mobility scooters cannot be accommodated in the auditorium (unless occupied by its user) and generally will be stored on an upper level by our team using the lift, and brought back to you at the end of the performance.

Charging facilities are not available.

Lift Access

There is a lift that takes you directly from the foyer to Row H of the auditorium without the need for any steps.

The maximum load of this is 450kg, and the lift platform is 1480mm x 1000mm

Patrons using the lift should ideally be able to descend the stairs in the event of an emergency in case the lift is unavailable.

Companion Seats

Due to the size of our auditorium, we regrettably are typically not able to accomodate requests for Companion Seats without the purchase of a ticket.
