The Little Theatre is a non-profit venue, ran entirely by the dedicated volunteers of the Nairn Drama Club.
We are a registered charity, established to foster and promote the maintenance, improvement, development, study and practice of dramatic art in all its forms and the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of dramatic art in all its forms amongst the people of Nairn and elsewhere.
We are incredibly fortunate to own and operate our own Theatre, which was built in 2003 as a result of an incredible fundraising effort of the members of the Nairn Drama Club in the preceding years. This venue requires constant maintenance and improvement to keep it the welcoming venue we have today and to further our aims.
However, the cost of operating such a venue, and producing numerous shows each year as well as providing valuable educational services, is something that is difficult to cover from ticket sales alone. Every time you buy a ticket for a show here, a programme, or a drink at the bar you're helping support your local theatre - thank you.
We welcome donations (you can donate online), or fundraising efforts for the continued operation of the Theatre or for a specific purpose close to your heart.
In the past, we've had donations fund specific shows, costume, upgrades to our technical equipment, or improvements to accessibility.
Most shows are sponsored by local businesses, without which they wouldn't happen, and for which we are incredibly grateful. If you would like to sponsor a show, or the Theatre itself, please get in touch.
The Theatre would be nothing without our dedicated volunteers. We're always looking for people on and off-stage. So whether you have a talent to perform, or want to help out front of house welcoming people to our Theatre, or making them feel at home with tea and coffee, or are keen to get into the backstage work including costume, set, makeup, sound, video, lighting we want to hear from you!. Get Involved at The Little Theatre and bring your skills to the team!
